WHAT IS MEDIUMSHIP?
Mediumship is the practice of using clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, automatic writing and trance communication to bring through messages from human beings who have crossed over into Spirit.
Although many religions believe in an afterlife, Spiritualism is the only one that attempts a two-way communication with those in Spirit.

As Spiritualists, we believe in the continuation of life after physical death and that continuous progress is open to every Soul—whether on the Earth plane or Spirit plane. We use mediums to bring forth evidence of persons who have passed so that they are recognized by their loved ones receiving the messages. The messages themselves are opportunities for both Spirit people and Earth people to grow and develop.

At our Church, a medium is an ethical person trained in the Spiritualist tradition who, over a long period of time, has developed the skills needed to act as a conduit for persons in Spirit to communicate with relatives or friends on the Earth plane. The medium can often see and hear persons in Spirit and learns to transmit information to provide recognizable evidence to the recipients. Types of evidence include descriptions of gender, physical appearance, personality traits, work and hobbies, geographic locations, family relationships, pets, special objects and cause of death.
